Luxilon today formally announced the signing of an exclusive distribution agreement with Wilson Sporting Goods of the USA and its parent company Amer Sports of Finland.

Under the agreement, Wilson will become the sole, world-wide distributor of Luxilon monofilament strings and other products.

“The agreement will be of benefit to all concerned”, said Bob Daelemans, former Managing Director of Luxilon Sports and who will manage the relationship between Luxilon and Wilson in his role as Managing Director of his own consulting company - Rodaco International bvba. “In particular, it will make Luxilon strings much more accessible to a much larger number of consumers as a result of the existing word-wide network of Wilson dealers.”

Brian Dillman, Global Director of Wilson’s Racquet Sports Division said, “Professional players and aspiring juniors will also benefit from the efficiencies that will result from the integration of the two leading tennis brands.”

In addition, Wilson and Luxilon will explore ways in which they can co-operate to expand their joint involvement in the provision of stringing services at professional events. Wilson is committed to such a development and has just announced its partnership with the USTA to become the Official Stringing Company of the US Open.
